Absolutely no rest for Aaron this week as he makes his way direct from the Deutsche to the BMW Championship. Stakes get higher each week for the players at the moment and I can guarantee they are all getting tired. Playing so many weeks in a row is huge, especially with so much resting on each tournament.
There is only 2 events left in the FedExCup championship and the field numbers have been dramatically reduced. Only 70 players will tee up this week and only 30 of these will advance to the final event. Vijay Singh is in the middle of a world wind incredible couple of weeks of playing the most amazing golf. He has claimed victory the last 2 tournaments and is now in a very comfortable 1st place heading into the 3rd playoff. Singh has 120, 500 points – which is 12,225 points ahead of Sergio Garcia. Aaron enters the BMW in 64th position with 98,125 points. He needs a big win this week!
This tournament holds good memories for Badds with a 2nd place finish last year to Tiger Woods. It was an incredible week and I am sure hoping for a repeat performance from Aaron.
The BMW Championship is hosted by the Bellerive Country Club in St Louis, Missouri. The purse is 7 million and the course is 7,456 yards.
Aaron will tee off from the 10th at 11:35am with Lucas Glover and Eric Axley.
ENJOY!
