What a great start to the John Deere Classic for Aaron!
Yesterday, Badds looked to be heading for a disappointing round with 3 bogeys in the 1st 9 holes. However, he put his struggles behind him at the turn and managed to sink 3 birdies to finish the day with Par and a share of 90th place.
Aaron knew he needed a good round today and he was certainly up for the challenge. An eagle on the 1st was a great start. After a bogey on the next hole, Aaron got onto a roll and his game was just on fire. He had 7 birdies in the next 14 holes! It was a bit of a shame to see him close with a bogey on the final hole but overall Badds had an absolutely fantastic day. Today was one of his best rounds on Tour in over a year and he was able to move into contention heading into the weekend with a share for 12th place at 7 under par.
Will MacKenzie is the overnight leader at 13 under after 2 awesome rounds of 65 and 64!
Badds will tee off tomorrow from the 1st at 11:16am (local time) with Dean Wilson and J.P Hayes.
GO BADDS!
Shelley
