We catch up with Aaron in Ohio for The Memorial Tournament hosted by Morgan Stanley. Badds has had a very short break and is pumped to tee up on Thursday for the Jack Nicklaus event. Muirfield Village Golf Club was a long held dream come true for Nicklaus when it opened its doors in 1976. This course represents so much for Nicklaus and has become a fave on tour. He wanted to create a tournament that captured the ‘essence’ of the game for both the spectators and the players. A deeply thought out design for the course, a high regard for legends of the game, the presence of today’s biggest players and a large scope for charity it has all the right ingredients for a perfect week on tour.
K.J Choi is our defending champion. Choi played an amazing week in 2007 with rounds of 69, 70, 67 and 65 to close with a 271. Aaron also had a great finish with a share of 9th place at 276.
The purse for the Memorial is $6 million and the winner will take home a nice $1.8 million.
We have a great field this week with 14 of the top 20 players teeing up on Thursday. Badds is currently ranked 18th in the world and 44th on the world money list. He will play off the 10th tee for the 1st round with Jim Furyk and J.J Henry.
ENJOY!
