On Thursday we will meet up with Aaron in Charlotte, North Carolina for the Wachovia Championship, hosted by the Quail Hollow Club. I’ve always said I think this is one of the most beautiful courses on tour, certainly a tough course but one of the best to look at. The Quail Hallow Club is par 72 and it is 7442 yards. The purse is high at 6.4 million which means the winner will take a home a nice $1,152,000.
Last years champ was Tiger Woods - he claimed the title by 2 strokes over Steve Sticker. As you may have heard, Tiger has had knee surgery recently and will not be able to defend his title at Wachovia. Don’t worry though there are plenty of the world’s best golfers teeing up on Thursday. 18 of the top 25 ranked players in the world will be competing this week.
Coming off his great 2nd at the Verizon Heritage Aaron is pumped to play Quail Hollow Club. Aaron is now ranked 16th in the official world golf rankings. This is the highest rank Aaron has ever been. Although excited to be climbing the ranks, Badds continues to refine his game and work hard at always improving himself. That’s something he loves about this sport, there is always something you can be better at and always something that needs more work.
Aaron will tee off at 7:40am with Jonathan Byrd and Vijay Singh.
GO BADDS
