It has been 2 years since Aaron claimed his 1st PGA tour victory at the Verizon Heritage. This will always be special to Aaron and everyone at Team Badds!
In 2006 Aaron had a 66, 67, 66 and 70 to finish at 15 under the card with a 269. It was down to Badds and Jim Furyk on the Sunday and they went back and forth all day. It was really intense and kept everyone on the edge of their seats! Badds clenched the deal by 1 stroke in the end. This win had been a long time coming and was the result of many years of so much hard work.
Last year Badds had another good week. With 4 rounds of 70, 66, 70 and 72 he finished for a tie of 10th place with 278. Boo Weekly had a 67, 69, 66 and 68 to finish 2 strokes ahead of Ernie Els and win the tournament. He is back this week to defend his title.
The Verizon Heritage is hosted by Harbour Town Golf Links which is a par 71 and one of the shorter courses on tour at 6,973 yards. Harbour Town is considered a favorite among the pro’s and always ranks up there with the best courses.
Aaron tees up on Thursday from the 1st tee at 1pm with John Senden and Heath Slocum. Enjoy the next couple days and stayed tuned to Badds.com for the latest on Aaron’s week at the Verizon.
